For Ljudsko, the offline guide to Slovenia's folk calendar
Ljudsko collects no personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and nothing to buy; the app requests no Android permissions and never opens a network connection. What you read, search for and keep in your favourites stays on your handset.
Ljudsko is made and published by AM Tech d.o.o., a company registered in Slovenia, which releases its apps under the name CrimsonCedar Studio. Under the General Data Protection Regulation and Slovenia's Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-2), that company would be the controller for any personal data the app processed. It processes none, so the role stays empty.

A calendar of customs is, among other things, a calendar of religious feasts. What someone looks up in it can hint at belief, background or where their family comes from — the kind of inference that should never be drawn from an app. Ljudsko draws none: no entry view is counted, no reading time is measured, nothing typed into the search is stored or transmitted, and there is no history screen because there is no history.
A single small file in the app's private storage, holding only what you chose to keep:
Nothing in it identifies you: no name, email address, contacts, photos, location, advertising identifier or device identifier. The file never leaves the phone and we never see it.
Browsing by region is a list you pick from. The app requests no location permission, derives no position from the network, and never decides which valley's customs to show you based on where the phone happens to be.
Every entry in Italian and English, the images, the season and region indexes and the search are compiled into the app. Nothing is fetched while you read and no entry loads on demand — which is why the app works at a hillside bonfire as well as at home, and costs no roaming data abroad.
The entries describe what people in Slovenia celebrate, how and why, drawn from ethnographic sources and from the communities that keep these customs. Religious feasts are described as part of the calendar, not promoted; ritual foods are described as part of the day, not offered as dietary or health advice. Customs differ between regions and even between neighbouring villages, and where versions disagree the app says so rather than calling one of them the tradition.
Dates of events change from year to year, and local organisers set their own. Check with the organiser before travelling to a particular festival.
No advertising library, so nothing interrupts an entry and no advertising profile is built from what you read. No analytics library and no crash reporter, so no usage events, session logs or crash traces leave the handset. No billing library, so no season, region or entry sits behind a price, and no payment data exists. No account, no sync, no comments, no sharing of your favourites with anyone.
Ljudsko requests no Android runtime permissions: not camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage or notifications.
None. The app opens no connection to our servers or to anyone else's, so nothing leaves the handset to be intercepted and nothing arrives that could change its behaviour after installation.
Installing or updating Ljudsko is a transaction between you and Google, handled under Google's own privacy policy and its agreement with you. What reaches us is the aggregated, anonymous developer console view — installs, ratings, country totals — which identifies nobody.
If a future version ever touches the network, this page is rewritten before that version is published and the change stated plainly.
Folk customs are family material, and the entries are written for a general audience. Since nothing is collected from anyone, nothing is collected from children, and there are no adverts, no chat, no sharing, no links out and nothing to buy.
The General Data Protection Regulation and ZVOP-2 give you the right to ask whether your personal data is processed, obtain a copy, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to processing, and complain to a supervisory authority. Every one of those needs data in our hands, and there is none — we will confirm that in writing if it is useful for your records.
Your favourites are removed by clearing them in the app, clearing the app's data in Android settings, or uninstalling Ljudsko. No copy survives anywhere else, because none was ever made.
Complaints may be addressed to the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (Informacijski pooblaščenec, ip-rs.si) or to the supervisory authority where you live, though a note to us usually settles things sooner.
This page is updated only when the app changes in a way that affects privacy, and the date near the top changes with it. Builds already installed keep behaving exactly as described.
